German shares lose 1.82 pct Tuesday

FRANKFURT, May 11 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 280.66 points, or 1.82 percent, to close at 15,119.75 points.

All DAX 30 shares lost Tuesday. European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.06 percent, followed by reinsurance company Munich Re and manufacturing and electronics company Siemens, which lost 2.87 percent and 2.82 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 336.22 million euros (409.18 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 2.73 percent to close at 1.683 euros per share on Tuesday.
